PRACTICE AREAS

With office in the center of Cologne, Jochen Simon Brandt successfully provides both business and private clients from Germany and abroad with exceptional legal services. Our practice areas include year long experience in contract law, real estate law, insolvency and revocatory action law. We also render case supervision and provide expert opinion to both clients from private and public sector. Reaching your aim is often not only the result of expert knowledge and best practice, but also of detailed investigation, strategic planning and fast reaction. We will accompany you on this journey and guide you to a safe harbour. Learn more about our practice areas:

Contract Law

We are specialised in all aspects of contract law. In our year long experience, we have negotiated, set up and checked hundreds of contracts under German law. You didn’t read the fine print? We will do that for you. We also prepare general terms and conditions (“AGB”). For business clients, we offer our start-up package; we create articles of partnership (incorporation) and accompany conclusion of various contracts during the inception phase of your business.

Real Estate Law

Real estate law covers tenancy law, residential property law, law concerning the interest of neighbors, and building law issues. Jochen Simon Brandt has focussed on this practice area many years ago and attended the course as a specialist lawyer at Hagen Law School. We work with both real estate management firms and private clients on these issues.

Insolvency Law, Revocatory Action Law

Jochen Simon Brandt represents creditors and debitors in insolvency proceedings, renders discrete advice to private and business clients on German insolvency law and successfully defends adressees of an avoidance in revocatory action law cases nationwide. We also specialise in matters involving insolvency criminal law questions. Handling insolvency law issues effectively is complicated without the experience and stamina that we have – this is what makes the difference.

Case Supervision, Expert Opinion

Need a second opinion? Somebody who is backing your legal position in complicated or transnational cases? Court or administrative proceedings and contract negotiations may be lengthy and complicated. Case supervision provides you with legal advice and organisational support, brings in new ideas and fresh perspectives, and helps you to get the overall picture correct. Within a team or as your personal advisor, we keep our eyes on the horizon and constantly work towards your goal or guard your back.
