Jochen Simon Brandt studied law at renowned University of Cologne and graduated with distinction. Concurrent with law studies, he has worked for the municipality of Cologne. During his legal clerkship, he attended the post-graduate program of German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and worked for an international law firm in Moscow.
Admitted to the bar back in Germany since 2010, JSB started to work as a lawyer in a medium-sized law firm. Since 2012, he led a team on behalf an insolvency administrator in insolvency proceedings, taking care of all procedural steps, including draft of the administrator´s report to court, representing the insolvency administrator in court and afield, auditing and investigating the bankrupt´s private and business background, checking on issues relevant to revocatory action and insolvency criminal law.
JSB was in charge of negotiation, drafting and reviewing of contracts and deals between the insolvency administrator and his clients. Since then, he focusses on insolvency and contract law issues. Having attended the course for specialist lawyers at Hagen Law School, his area of expertise also covers real estate law. In January 2014, JSB founded his own boutique law firm and successfully assists and represents business and private clients from Germany and abroad.
Alexandra Ulya has nine years of professional experience as a legal assistant in international law firms and as an in-house lawyer, in Russia and Germany, and been working successfully since end of 2016 as a freelance consultant with a focus on legal matters. Since 2018 she is aditionally emloyed by JSB.
She works in particular on international commercial arbitration proceedings and conducts legally complex international transactions, company foundations and liquidations. This includes drafting pleadings, legal opinions, investigating facts of the case, legal research; drafting and proof-reading contracts, participating in negotiations and business trips, as well as administrative tasks such as billing, archiving, legal translations, and interpreting during negotiations in German, Russian and English.
Alexandra Ulya has completed her legal studies in Moscow as a graduated lawyer with honors. She has a Master Degree (LL.M.), German Law, from the Humboldt University in Berlin. English, German and Russian are her working languages.
Elina Georgyan, Marketing
After successful completion of Bachelor’s degree at Armenian State University of Economics, Elina was enrolled as a master student at the University of Cologne in program Marketing/Business Administration. In 2019 she started to work as marketing specialist at JSB. Her area of responsibility includes support in development and implementation of Social-Media-contents, processing inquiries, collection and preparation of data for Database.
Amazigh Kabisa, Office Manager
After finishing school and further education in Cologne, Amazigh worked in property management of the family business. After his stay abroad, he started in 2018 his new position in law firm management at JSB. By participating in various training courses and seminars, including those of the Cologne Lawyers’ Association, he has broadened his qualifications and competences in the field. His area of responsibility includes client care, organization and administrative tasks.
